It was a solid body, and it mostly worked.

Somewhere, a diehard Citroen nut is weeping because of this. It's like that dude just never dealt with anything but nearly new cars in his life.

Wow that guy is annoying. He basically knows nothing and just resorts to "it's a piece of crap."

Going by the round sealed beam headlamps and the US-style side marker lamps, this is almost certainly a model imported by CXA Auto of New Jersey back in the 1980s.  What a terrible waste of a magnificent car!

I'd like to beat the shit out of that asshole in the video!  Are these really the sort of know-nothing dickheads hired by Car and Driver these days?  This prick need to die after being forced to drink a toxic amount of LHM fluid from a CX's suspension sphere!

C&D used to be The Shit, before Brock Yates collapsed into geezerdom and Patrick Bedard stopped being a race car driver and started being a safety/eco weenie. I know the New Media has hit all the print publications hard: but hiring smirking smug factories like that will only speed their downfall.

You know what I liked about C/D of yore? This video has shown a spotlight on it. The analogies. The big Lincoln wallowed like a Walrus on Qualuudes. The Lotus moved off the line like a scalded cat. Down the stretch, the big V12 pulled like a pit bull on industrial grade amphetamines. The rear badge on the Escalade was a big as a baby's head and not nearly as attractive, unless the baby was puking, at which point it was a fair comparison.

No, what do I get from this joker? "Its crap. Crap crap, crappity crap. Piece of crap. complete crap. Bad. Really bad. Really bad crap." Its like he's writing a Dr. Suess style book for assholes, and forgetting to rhyme.

Marginally less annoying, but nowhere near good. He mentions the "cigarette lighters in each door" thing as if that was at all odd. US cars of that same vintage had the same number of cigarette lighters. My current car has three. one up front, and one each in the rear doors- and this is a family car! The 72 Eldo had five- two in the front center ashtray, one in the passenger door, one in each rear armrest. It also had two interior door handles on the passenger door so the rear seat passenger could let themselves out.

It also frustrates me that I sit literally 100 yards aways from possibly the only licensed Citroen C4 Pluriel in the states and for the life of me I can't figure out how to buy it from the company that doesn't know what to do with it.

A Pluriel?  The one with the removable roof, right?  Licenced and registered in the US?

Where?  How much?  TAKE MY MONEY, DAMMIT!!!

Yes. My company made that roof, and so we got one for demonstration purposes. For a while, it was one of the fleet loaner cars; but pretty much nobody drives it anymore. It sits out back next to the barely used shop van. I've talked with the lady who handles the vehicles and they want to get rid of it but don't know what to do. I had tried to arrange to have a friend of mine who runs a junkyard buy it from them and give them whatever paperwork they needed to say it was destroyed, and then I would arrange to get an "assembled" title from the state of michigan. She wouldn't do it; but I'm going to try again soon.

Ahh, so it doesn't have a US title?  That complicates things.

Maybe you can convince the state it's some sort of home-made dune buggy?  There must be a way!

In Michigan, that's a relatively easy process to get an "assembled" title. I honestly don't know the exact disposition of the car's paperwork at the moment. I know other cars like this have been issued a "manufacturer's title."

Damn US importing laws fucking things up.  If I have the money to go to Europe and bring a car back I don't see what the fucking big deal is.  It's not like millions of people are going to be willing to go through the trouble.

Digging the Buick Riviera next to it.

It's rare to see a Pluriel here. They look especially funky in lime green and orange.

The comments on Youtube are not flattering to Americans. I guess everyone thinks this is how someone in the U.S. acts and thinks.
