Drove through Colorado on US 40 instead of just taking I-70. Turned out to be an excellent decision. Saw a junkyard and a bunch of old stuff, so I pulled over to check it out. Lots of old 50s stuff, and not just the usual Tri-Fives.

hotrodalex

Yup I want to go back and get that Oldsmobile (the one above the '55-7 Buick)

That's so awesome to have such "junkyards". Here something as romantic as that would be illegal because of the environment.  :(

What car is this? Looks like some sort of AMC or Oldsmobile Coupe from the late '60s or early '70s.

That's a great local brewery that we have. Do I drink their beer? No.

I spotted one of those a few years ago.

I think you have to drain all the fluids in cars before they can just lie around in a junkyard.  So environmentally speaking, they're not that bad.

I believe he meant the 3rd one over...white vinyl top with pale green paint, goofy tail lights.  It looks familiar but I can't quite place it.

Beautiful car, but I meant the green one one next to it. Looks like an AMC or Oldsmobile...

That's also a requirement here, but we have these so-called "recycling centers" where cars are torn apart and all valuables are stripped and stored for potential customers. No such thing as a classic "nature junkyard" here anymore. Literally. :(

I suspect that it's a Ford as well...69 fairlane/galaxie sedan with the left tail light assembly removed.

Lots of Mopars in there. IMO the coolest car of the lot. Could be had with a dual quad hemi.

hotrodalex

I should say that I want the Oldsmobile due to the decently good condition it's in, not because I think think it's the coolest. All it needed was a little love, was still mostly complete and no rust.

Otherwise I'd take the blue wagon or one of the tailfinned cars.

FoMoJo

Good pickins' for MOPAR fans.

I love these old boats.  Very cushy inside.  Looks like a '56.
