The most recent generation Nissan's have really nice interiors. This is the Rogue interior. You cannot view this attachment.

Rouge is actually pretty competitive.  I think it's fair to say it's Nissan's most (perhaps only?) competitive vehicle.  A friend of mine has a 2018 Rogue SL AWD and it's pretty decent, for what it is.  The new ones also look to be pretty good, at least in the higher specification trims.

It's just a little too big for my tastes, however.  I wish Nissan hasn't dropped the smaller Rogue Sport.  That's just about the right size for me.  I rented a Kicks earlier this year and it was crap.

We drove a friend's Rogue from NY to WY back in 2017ish. It was "decent", not great not bad. I was surprised how high the rear cargo floor was- not a ton of interior storage space for how large the vehicle is.

But wife and I both hit our heads on the A-Pillar getting in driver seat, just way too low too far back. (She's 5'4"). We agreed we'd never want one.

Remember the Pontiac ad "wider is better"? Whenever I drive the Miata I think the opposite. Narrower is better. I have more lane to maneuver around potholes, manhole covers, etc.  When I drive the EV6 I have precious room for lateral maneuvers. In my dad's F150 it's even worse. There's barely enough lane to fit the car going straight. It's not as much fun. Agility within a lane is important.

I drove the BRZ into work today.  First time driving it since I bought the Lightning.  It's probably been 2 months since I've driven it.

It's about as dramatic of a difference between two cars as I could possible imagine. Everything feels so tiny and light.  Steering wheel feels half the size. Center armrest is maybe 25% as wide. No driver aids. Actually have to use the brake pedal.  No efficiency number calculations to look at or think about.

The infotainment is shocking.  It's like looking at third world Android phone vs a TV for navigation

LOL It was raining this week so I drove Odyssey. Miata again this morning just felt soooo good. Didn't hurt that it was partly cloudy, 65deg at 4:30am, so TOP DOWN LOL

You didn't mention that it was SO SLOW and that you critically misjudged your ability to hit a gap in traffic because of it.

It happens to me with the Miata. I jump into a gap and then curse with the realization that I have to wring her out to redline twice in order to not get rear ended. EV6 just goes zooop 40mph

That's almost Miata and Maverick tanks combined. Odyssey can drink 20gal though.

I get irritated when I see people driving around with empty front license plate brackets, just the bracket - useless shitty metal or plastic appendage, with bits of car wash brush fiber stuck in it. Take it off, store it in a bag, and put it in the trunk when the time comes to sell the car.

So glad I live in a state that doesn't require front plates. Allows people to put creative/custom/novelty plates of whatever they want there (sports logos, names, designs, whatever) or you can keep the front end clean without the bracket at all.

veeman

Connecticut requires a front license plate but I don't think they enforce that law much.  I've never had one on for my Kia EV6.

For the three years I had my Beetle, never got bothered about not having a front license plate either.

Morris Minor

IMO they could be dispensed with in all states. They are wasteful.

I asked Bard  ... and here are the states where they're not required:
  • Alabama
  • Alaska
  • Arizona
  • Arkansas
  • Delaware
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Indiana
  • Kansas
  • Kentucky
  • Louisiana
  • Michigan
  • Mississippi
  • New Mexico

  • Ohio

I'm fine with it. Makes it super easy to spot some retard tourist from Illinois or Colorado or Minnesota or Wisconsin driving like a total, well, retard.  Maybe Ontario, too. Just about rear-ended some tourist from Ontario the other day because they didn't know that a flashing yellow light means.....keep going, you have the right of way.

Morris Minor

I notice the slave states are well-represented on the no-front-plate list, with the notable exception of Texas.

Did they stop of just slow down?  Flashing yellow means caution.

Ohio actually got rid of their front plates.  Truly a blessing.

It made no sense when pretty much all adjacent states didn't have them.  Cincinnati is where Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio all meet.  Over half the cars didn't require them, so it was impossible to ever ticket for.

I ran no front plate for like 10 years before the law got changed.  No more drilling into front bumpers.  Sadly, the BRZ has a front plate spot molded in with threaded holes from the factory :(

They stopped. It's an intersection that always seems to confuse non-locals. Oncoming traffic has a stop sign/flashing red, you have flashing yellow so you can go straight or turn without stopping (it's the state business route through town, left turn keeps you on said route out to the highway). This person noticed somebody stopped at the stop sign and, despite our flashing yellow, he stopped anyways and let that person go before turning left.

That's driving me NUTS nowadays- right of way exists for a reason!

But people THINK they are helping someone out by letting them take the right of way.

The other day I was 3rd car at the bottom of a T-intersection with only us having a stop sign. Cars usually come from the left of the T and turn right "down" the T. Cars going up the T are 95% of the time going left.
-Someone coming from the right of the T had left blinker on (to go down T) and they kept waiting for the only car which had a stop sign. So cars kept coming from the left of the T with those two wondrous people just sitting there for each gap.
-Literally should have gone 6 times (very safely) but didn't.
-FINALLY the person who did not have right of way[b/] went, the left-turner went, then finally we could go.

Not to mention the idiots who are sitting at a 4-way stop for at least 1-2 second before I get to the intersection, I stop, they're still sitting there, they motion me to go. Drives me BONKERS that people can't do a simple 4 way stop.

WTF Mazda... They just unveiled the CX-70 and it's pretty much identical to the CX-90 except no rear seat.  Not any shorter...

More cargo room without the third row? Or is it basically the same as if the third row was just folded down anyway?

The G550 is a very narrow SUV (at least by modern standards) - it means you loose the middle seat if both the booster and baby seat adapter is installed.  It makes sense given it's intended purpose but as a road vehicle, it is a frustrating drawback.
