If I was designing an electric car and had to give it artificial sound, I think I would try and give it the sound of a TIE fighter from the original Star Wars movies.  :praise:

That is actually an excellent idea.

I saw a non-camo Jeep Wrangler truck thing the other day. Are those out for sale now??

70% of countries are LHD, including most of Europe.  The existence of an LHD Ranger Rapter doesn't mean anything with regards to its likelihood to be sold in North America.

Nope haven't even been officially revealed.  Companies have been doing conversions for years though

Nah, this was like a production model.  Straight up.  It was going the opposite way from me on a bridge when I spotted it. Just my luck.

Anyone want a used 2010 Prius? Slightly tricky sales proposition because people are suspicious of the battery packs. I've had one person pass because this one is still on the original. Toyota considers them life-of-vehicle items but that is not what's in the general public consciousness. Hints & sales wording tips welcome.

I am considering making a low offer on this (800,000MXN/40K):

https://auto.mercadolibre.com.mx/MLM-631508335-bmw-serie-m-6-coupe-aut-_JM

It has 12,000 miles and a 1 year CPO warranty.

It would mainly be used to cruise here and drive me to and back form Mexico City a couple of times a month (250 miles each way).

Cash, so I can sell it if needed at little loss (thus the low offer). I have a sort of long term plan to have an 1M/2/3/4/5/6/8 in the garage as a collection.

Not sure but it has been sitting there for at least 9 months so I think they'd be open to a low offer.

Yeah. DCT. No manuals were sold outside the US. It's a big car so I think the DCT fits its character well.

I have to put a really low, dare I say Trumpian offer on the table. I think I should offer 10K below the asking. These cars are tough to sell here.

Look out for these guys.

Diesel HD truck drivers: why do they idle their engines all the fucking time? I was loading my bike at a park, enjoying the scenery and silence, and some asshole in a Ram parked next to me and stank up the place with his raspy Cummins POS. He idled it for TEN MINUTES until I left! It was 69 degrees. No need for A/C. No need to run the goddamn engine at all. Jerk

#TruckerLife.  Big rig guys don't like to shut their engines off either.  Or maybe he didn't trust that it would start again if he shut it off.

Lot of these guys fancy themselves big rig drivers from the '70s, ala BJ and the Bear, except they don't know where to get a monkey.

Let's just say that giant "C" sticker on the back window doesn't stand for "creative."

I'm about ready to pull the plug on the Craigslist ad for the Prius; it's all worthless fraudsters & low-IQ time-wasters
Will leave it on Autotrader & FB Marketplace.

I'd like to try mirrors-as-tv-displays. It may take some getting used to since, unlike glass mirrors,  you have to refocus your eyes to use them.

Wow.  FB Marketplace is ten times worse than craigslist IMO.  I'm surprised you find it worth dealing with.

Agreed. Some people ask me why I don't post about my detailing in any of the local "classifieds" style FB groups and I'm like......have you seen/dealt with those people?  I don't have time for that shit.

I was excited when they announced FB marketplace.  I was thinking, finally, a digital marketplace that doesn't look like it was designed in 1980!

I go on there, and it's mostly just hillbillies selling garbage.

Believe it or not he's a Prius nut. He's buying this one for his teenage son.

I want cash. As soon as the cashier accepts it I'll hand over the title.
Second best would be a cashiers check, I'd have to pay my bank to clear that through while we wait.
