My uncle and cousin (his son) are both dyed in the wool Chevy/GMC truck owners and both wear Oakleys.

Trucks?

Are they black or red?

Average number of stickers on their rear windows?
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

That is an exception.

Usually Oakleys require 3.5 politically loaded rear window stickers for a Chevy.

So I've got a side business idea to make something for the Outback. Demand seems to be there. Cost of producing it is low. Anyone got any experience forming an LLC for such a matter?

It is easy. For me, I was able to just print the forms out from the state's website, usually called the Articles of Organization or something.  You'll also need a Tax ID number for da feds. And if you want to open a business bank account, you will need those forms to prove it, so that's the last step.

Also, if you have a name in mind, you will want to claim that as well, usually called a DBA (Doing Business As), and for Michigan is just a small annual fee to keep.

Massive Tesla group photo today. Apparently the Model 3 in red is not very popular because the color is "super expensive", according to my client who sells these.

Each state is slightly different, but it's generally pretty easy.  I bet you can get everything you need off LegalZoom or something like that.

Waste of money. It's all available for free from the state and you can probably just file everything online direct to the state anyway. Getting the EIN from the IRS is equally simple...submit a form online and they give you an EIN.

Articles of Organization
DBA name.
Tax ID (Employer Identification Number, EIN)

That's it. All you need.

I think the only part that might cost money is the DBA. I pay like $39 a year or something to keep the UP Detailing name with the state's Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.

I assumed there was some sort of nominal registration fee, just like there are when you file Articles of Incorporation.

Could be, yeah. I don't recall if the AOO had a filing fee, as that was a long time ago, but I wouldn't doubt it. Either way, it's not worth giving Legal Zoom $100 or whatever to send you some forms you can just get for free and submit online anyway.

My product idea might not work. I might be able to just unplug something to accomplish the same thing :(

Going to pay $30 to get the Subaru wiring diagrams for a couple cars and see what I can figure out.

How does that prevent you from making a product?  Make a dummy plug connector that snaps in between the cable and whatever it plugs into that results in a no-connect and call it an "adapter".

Great looking car.  Lovely interior.

And the good thing was I got to drive it out of the garage, shoot it, and later drive it back down into the garage.

The leather seats feel so good, and the material is very high quality. Every button inside the cabin just feels top notch. I'd say the biggest "disappointment" was the huge Volkswagen logo on the inner side of the seatbelts! Haha j/k

Thinking of getting a couple of these for the rear plate on my cars. Should reduce rattling when you close the trunk/hatch and keep the plate for bending/getting caught on stuff, but they look cleaner than most frames.

I just got one for the outback. Big fan. Shows a ton of the plate, no rattles, no paint scratching too.

Might get one for the s2000, but I don't think it will fit. It has some license plate holder tabs molded into the bumper.

I just stooped to getting a rear plate holder with built in backup sensors for the RX8.  It's almost impossible to back out of a parking space anymore without someone walking or driving behind you.

I will miss my carbon fiber Mazdaspeed holder

My alfa holder has a couple rubber or foam blocks on the back to make it quiet

I bought a 2 pack today (different "brand" but $13 for 2 instead of $15/each). So I'll start with the back plates on the Bolt & Mazda. Not sure what I'll do about the front plates. Probably just keep them frameless. Maybe I'll put some double sided sticky tape on the bottom corners to keep them from bending if someone nicks them while parallel parked or something.
