Mercedes Actros "Black Edition": friggin sexy.  B)

The Renault Magnum truck is pretty hot!

Grew up with these in the movies! Peterbilt's.

Scania 124L 400: possibly one of the hottest trucks on the European market...

Scania 124L: very popular where I live. Always loved the looks of this baby.

Mercedes Axor is a nice medium truck available with AWD (even with the 6-8 wheel versions).

Unimog: abso-frikin-lutely

Some others

That would be a Cummins that lurks underhood with 6 giant pots.

TBR

Chevrolet Silverado SS (the only GM truck I would buy right now):

1998-2002 Dodge Ram 2500 (my favorite heavy duty truck of all time):

Nissan Titan (I hope to talk my dad into one of these next summer):

Ford Ranger STX (I know it isn't the most modern truck out there, but it looks great):

Tom

Aren't Titans having some reliability problems?  And good luck getting him to go Japanese.

TBR

They had a few first year problems, but everything has been resolved (though the rear diff is still a little weak however, that shouldn't be an issue considering he doesn't tow much and when he does the loads are fairly light).

As far as going Japanese is concerned (or, more correctly, non-Ford), I think I can make it happen. After sitting in the Titan and F-150 at the autoshow a couple years ago he actually said he preferred the Titan which means a lot. In all honesty, I think I would have a harder time getting him to get a Chevrolet or GMC than the Titan.

ifcar

TBR, Consumer Reports didn't log significant improvements from 04 to 05 model years in their reliability survey. The Titan still had a particularly high record for electrical, brake, and "body integrity" problems.

Volvo semi-trucks look stunning but my favorite is the Freightliner Century.

I don't really like any trucks, but there is one that caught my eye...

QuoteEven compared to the F-150?
The F-150 had more problems with the transmission and drivetrain, the Titan had its problems pretty much everywhere else.

The F-150 used to be rock solid up untill 03, or maybe 04, when the redesign was implemented.  I remember nearly all red circles when looking at CR.  Sucks that there is such a decline.

Im sorry, but I'm just too much of a fan boy not to post this.

It's got a bed!  It's an truck!

Imageshack is preventing me from spreading the Jeep gospel to the masses (you hosers).

Needless to say, the Comanche Thunderchief commands immeasurable awe and respect from all who lay eyes upon it.

You're definitely thinking of a J-series pickup.

Basically a Wagoneer with a bed in place of the fixed canopy.
