So I was going to start a thread in the Fast Lane, but I figured without pictures it would be a bit premature. However I do want some opinions/comments on the wheels I'm looking at.

Kind of have three on my mind, the car is a nice rich blue almost like Subies WR Blue Pearl(relevance obvious as you look below).

First up is the Konig Dial In 15x8 in "Grey"

Then the odd ball is the Konig Dial In 15x8 in Gloss Gold(subie style,)

First one for sure.

If you can go 9" width on the rpf1s, they aren't convex and look a lot better but i doubt you can fit a 9" wide wheel

That sounds realistic.

AutobahnSHO

love the first ones but the gold subie look would be hilarious.

You'd have to put something funny like "what subies wanna be" or something on the back or windshield

Minority opinion here.  I prefer the Enkei wheels.

I like the Enkei's too, but they are so "generic" looking. It's not a bad thing, I just think that on some things they don't look all that nice on. Plus the problem is that I look at Enkei RPF's for every car I go to buy rims on. And once I finally buy a set I won't put them on another(2 cars with same rims is weird, imo). So it's like, do I really want to waste my one RPF buy on this car(I ask that about all of them). I'm really thinking that I'll end up with RPF's on my 300ZX so I'm kind of on the fence about them(for the miata).

That last one you listed is horrible, 18 POUNDS????

Might as well just strap a bag of concrete to each tire.

Otherwise you listed enkeis, which are some of the lightest out there and the TR is about the same as others like the Konig and Avanti rims.

They are, but they are for a reason

I was just giving a range for purposes of comparison, since someone was so certain that TR wheels "ain't light at all".

Does 1-2 lbs really matter on a miata unless its professionally raced?

They are a light,  cheap and well made wheel that has a reputation based on real world performance. Nothing wrong with that.

OK, so since you obviously have a stick up your ass about this whole thing, here you go:

TR C1M, 15x7 - 13.8 lb

TR C3M, 15x9 - 15.8 lb

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&wheelMake=TRMotorsport&wheelModel=C3M&wheelFinish=Bright+Silver+Paint&autoMake=Mazda&autoModel=Miata+M&autoYear=1996&autoModClar=

Enkei RPF1 15x7 - 9.9 lb or 11.4 lb for 15x8

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&wheelMake=Enkei+Racing&wheelModel=RPF1&wheelFinish=Bright+Silver+Paint&autoMake=Mazda&autoModel=Miata+M&autoYear=1996&autoModClar=

949 6UL 15x9 - 12.8 lb

Advanti racing storm S1 15x9 - 12.5 lb

http://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda-Performance-Part/61-1388.html

Hell, Konig Dials in 15x9 are 12.8 lb and are $15 a piece more than the 15x9 TR C3M but weigh a pound less than the 15x7 C1M. Maybe you're too dumb to understand but that means TR wheels are way heavier than similar wheels of similar sizes.

I can get 17x9 RPF1s that are lighter than those 15x9 C3Ms.;

But whatever, gl;hf with your heavy ass wheels.  :violin:

...And you end up having the same level of originality of stock wheels and look fairly terrible unless you go >9" with a decent offset....

There are plenty of good wheels within a pound or two of enkei in their price range.

What about outside of smaller and cheaper stuff. When I was rim shopping for my 300zx there wasn't much if anything close to the low price,  low weight of the enkeis.
