Eye of the Tiger

I got one

2008 TUNDRA (Truck Ultra-wideband Never-say-die Daddy Rottweiler Awesome)

MX793

My grandfather had one.  Tough little trucks.  No amount of neglect could kill that thing.
Needs more Jiggawatts

2016 Ford Mustang GTPP / 2011 Toyota Rav4 Base AWD / 2014 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 ABS
1992 Nissan 240SX Fastback / 2004 Mazda Mazda3s / 2011 Ford Mustang V6 Premium / 2007 Suzuki GSF1250SA Bandit / 2006 VW Jetta 2.5

Eye of the Tiger

This thing only has 179K on it, and 20K on the motor. It needs a valve cover gasket, full brake job, and a new front bumper. Came with a camper shell. It is amazing for $800.

I knew somebody who had one of those way back in the early '90s.  Looked like it had been driven through a war zone but it kept chugging along like it would go on forever.  Same as my Dad's old 1982 Colt.  Body rotten as hell at ten years old but you couldn't kill the engine it you tried!

Makes me wonder why Mitsubishi doesn't get any respect.  All the old ones I've been in were utterly unstoppable!

I can forgive the Mirage for its numerous failings because its so damn cheap to buy.

But you're right about the last Galant.  It was truly awful.

I'm jealous. I had a Ford Courier from that era and I really miss having a small pickup.

Except for the styling, it was fairly nice in 2004. A nice Altima alternative for power on a budget, with the V6. It just then stayed around forever.

Cheeeep. I can buy a new front bumper, grille, and side markers on Rockauto for about a hundred bucks altogether. Not sure where to get the top point of my Mitsubishi star, though.

Needs paint job. I've never done a whole vehicle.
Obviously Herculiner for the bed.
But for the rest... Maybe similar blue with lots of metallic flake? Or two tone, like a Corvette Mako Shark.

Rattle can it flat black, paint the wheels red, install a rising sun rear window applique, lower it and call it the "Little Jap Rat Rod".

The A/C does not work. Therefore, I am not painting it black. How about flat white with red wheels?

Also, no good lockers are available for this rear end. So, I should just weld the spider gears. Yes.

5. Tires
6.a. Paint & bedliner
