Stephen King... Needful Things... Von Sydow was the demon in the movie... his first name is Max... Mighty Max...

{sigh}

I am not a Stephen King fan. I've read his books, seen his movies, and lived in his state. Not a fan.

The Shining (which is of course a Kubrick movie more than anybody else's) is one of the best horror movies ever made.

It was pretty good too; but really King is hugely over rated.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

It was better than The Langoliers and Children of the Corn, but It was not better than The Shawshank Redemption or The Shining. I don't give King much credit for those, though. It shows more of King's lame style, while his best works were only good because of other people.

Like Trump, King is able to connect with his customers. One of the best modern writers, IMHO.

Yeah.

No.

King is extremely overrated. He has great story ideas, but the execution is lacklustre. None of his characters are compelling or interesting.

He writes lots of words, and some people mistake verbosity for depth. He is the master of taking 1500 pages to write a 100 page novella.

Ok, I'm keeping the truck. It is not worth selling.
In a few months, when I am working from home, I will sell the Element. Which sucks, but it is a debt.

Eye of the Tiger

Nah, I should sell it for a Miata. :hammerhead:

You should fix it and keep it. When you don't need a car for work anymore, sell the Element. Save up, buy the car you actually want.

Either that or pay off the Element and sell the truck (probably slightly smarter).

Ummm, yeah.

front brake hoses are cracked
heater core is clogged (with snake oil, can be flushed)
not happy with my fuel pump installation (works, but sloppy)
headlight is out
clutch is worn, but not out
the entire front end needs bushings, balljoints, etc.
the leaf springs need bushings
shocks are bad. not gone, but bad.
one broken wheel stud
bench seat is painful to sit on

Never mind, sell it. :P

Or fix the brake hoses, heater core, headlight, and get some foam.

I have an excellent idea for the bed. I will "modify" it, rather than remove it. I will cut the sides completely off, leaving a flappy sheet metal floor. It can be reinforced and the razor sharp edges can be finished to form a rather rigid flatbed. It will definitely be Street Mod legal.
