Beater truck or SUV + new M2?

I already have a beater truck, but the S4 drives better in inclement weather. 

I put winter tires on my current car, I assume I would do the same with any new car.

Realistically speaking the best I will probably be able to do is the M235i, unless they pump these out with reckless abandon to the point that they follow the typical BMW depreciation curve. I don't know that the F80 will hold its value well. Folks are already applying the nostalgia tax to the E90 for "being the last NA M3" even though when it was new they said it was too heavy and under torqued.....................

Finance!

The Si is worth maybe 16k on a trade in, that means I'll have to finance like 36k over 5 years which puts me at around 620 a month.  Its stretching the bank a tad lol.
