So they ditched the sublime V8 for a TT V6? Fuck Audi!

They already ditched the V8.

They did? So will it be TT V6 and V10, or just the V6? Don't care either way, because I hate what they've done with this car.

Starting this year, the R8 is V10 only.  Manual transmission is also gone.

The Gallardo has always been worth the extra money. Now with the R8 moved up in price and that new RWD version the case is even stronger. ~$20-40K for a RWD Lambo over an AWD Audi = no brainer.

I still think they should throw that 2.0T and 2.5T in the back of the TT the next go round. R4 pls!!!

I say meh to the Gallardo being worth it over the R8.  I like not being on fire, so I try to stay away from Gallardos, even though they look awesome.

But yes to the R4 idea.

It wouldn't surprise me if there would be a 1.4 TFSI "Economy" model for the European market in the works.

A Lambo Huracan LP580-2 is the car I would take these days.

The TT V6 will suit the new R8 just fine since it's so butt ugly, but the new Ford GT looks amazing and it deserves to have a TT Voodoo instead of the TT V6 it got.  Shame on you Ford.  I don't care if the GT has 700 hp or not, it should have been a V8.

 I like the new R8 a lot more. Better looking by a long shot. Lambos are just over the top and kind of ugly to me.

Are there any supercars that aren't anymore?

I would take an Evora Sport 410 before any flappy paddle supercar on the market today.

Yea I really dont give a shit about these $200K+ cars

Everything in the Miata to 911 Carrera range is way more relevant + exciting to me.

I'd still look at a lightly used manual Gallardo or gated shift R8, but no new supercar excites me anymore.

The only new supercars I would ever consider, even if I had the money, are the Huracan LP 580-2 and the F12.  If the Ford GT had a V8, I would consider it as well.  Even if I won the Powerball, I wouldn't go after any of the current crop of supercars outside of he two I mentioned,  I would rather go after an older one like the 2005 Ford GT, the Pagani Zonda, McLaren F1, first gen Audi R8, or Ferrari F355.

New cars in general are pretty derivative and "board driven". We haven't had an original idea in years... decades maybe.

I couldn't see myself getting anything new that doesn't exist in the range of cars that still have manuals, unless I got one purely for track racing. 911, Aston V8 Vantage (hell, I think most of the cars or all in the Aston range are available with a manual), and so on. I could have all the money in the world and I'd still prefer classic super cars over the new computerized ones.
