+ man, GM really listened to complaints of the old car, and the old car wasn't terrible

+ 1.4L has more pep and feels more suited to driving on the freeway

+ actually really good handling

+ nice, supple ride

+ nice interior that's well finished

+GM MyLink works well, and apple CarPlay runs super well and quick on the car

- CVT sometimes makes throttle feel not linear

- only seats four despite being wide enough for five

- manual locks and Windows on this model grade

My local dealer has a highly optioned bright green one.  Looks nice.

Eh I would rather get a used Sonic I think.

This car reminds me of my Yaris more, but I'd agree. Or a new Sonic; they're not moving as many as they'd like and you can negotiate a deal on a new Sonic.

Personally, I think the interior alone is worth the jump to the Sonic, at least based on pictures:

Yeah, this was a base Spark LS I drove, and that's a loaded LTZ Sonic.

I kind of like the motorcycle style gauge pod in the Sonic.

In comparing it to the Sonic, it's worth remembering that the Spark blows away its fuel economy. They're quite different.

Yeah, compared to the 1.8, yes. But the 1.4T is a 1-2 MPG differential. I think the new 1.4L in the Spark is the 1.4t in the Cruze/Sonic, minus the turbo.

Same

I feel bad - if this car was about 15% larger it would make the Sonic redundant.

It looks like shite IRL IMO

Sonic is solid though. I am used to old POS cars but to me it felt way more expensive and solid than its price suggested.

I've driven one.  Doesn't look worse than many bike gauge pods.

I like the motorcycle gauge pod. I also really like the brown interior. Makes it look very upscale IMO.

8 mpg with the 1.8, 3-4 with the 1.4, which is also much more expensive.

Just looks out of place in a car. Would look better with a regular dash.

Manual to manual, (1.4 to 1.4T) it's 33 (sonic) versus 34 (spark) combined.

Although the Sonic is a lot more expensive - but dealers are willing to wiggle with price bringing it down a little better.

Can normal sized adults legitimately sit in the back of a Spark though

I found the Sonic to be about as roomy, if not more than my Civic

The old Spark has as much room in the back as the sonic, just not the width. This new one is about the same

I don't get the interior fuss people make. I guess I just don't care- if it has all I need I don't really care when buying. I guess I notice the difference in nice cars when I'm riding in others' but it's not a big thing when picking a car for me.

If I am spending a 5 figure sum on a car it should have a decent interior. Another of my gripes with the Z. I was unimpressed at $10K.... I am shocked people paid $40-50K for them new

You don't notice if you can fit inside comfortably or not?

68_427

The 350z started at like 26 or 28k...

And compare to other performance cars of similar price and capability (I.e. Mustang, WRX, etc) it's interior was comparable or better.

That's way different than the "finish and luxury" or "upscale interior".   Honestly my 1997 Legacy had more "fit inside comfortably" in the front seats than a friend's Mercedes (2012?) and a (2007?) 3series I've been in.
