My love affair with a multimeter

I bought the kit of parts for this from Tandy (aka Radio Shack) in London in the early 70s, & soldered in the components. It's probably not very accurate, but it still works and has outlasted a couple of digital multimeters that have died on me. Today I used it to troubleshoot narrow down a blown tail light bulb in the Mercedes.
When I should have been studying English Lit, Latin & Math, I was assembling radios, fiddling with tape recorders etc. It drove my Dad nuts that I was wasting my expensive education.

I use a DVOM every day at work. That old analog device is interesting.  :ohyeah:

My dad has one just like that in the garage. I would claim that it's more reliable than the digital ones but that's just because the digital ones I've had are free from Harbor Freight :lol:
