what could possibly go wrong?

You have no idea how much I want that car. I don't care what can go wrong. I can fix it.

To prove that it "runs and drives".

My uncle's neighbor has a Milano. It's slowly returning back to the concrete under the remains of a tarp.

BMW 5.25 manual 1989 - $1650
1989 BMW 5.25 manual 5speed. Everything on this car is stock, aside from an aftermarket CD player. It has only 98k original miles on it. The body is as straight as an arrow, never wrecked with no dents at all. All headlights and fog lights are glass, with no cracks or chips. They alone are worth a few hundred dollars. It hasn't run in about 2 years and probably needs a fuel pump and a good tuneup. The interior is in good shape, but does show minor wear. It has been garage kept 95% of its life. It has the straight 6 M20 engine. Hate to see it go, but need the room and some cash.

OMFG

1988 Chevrolet Nova - $1800
New radiator in last 1,000 miles. Great tires. AC blows cold Heat works. Needs nothing. Would drive it to Arizona and back the way it sits. Great gas mileage. Call or text anytime day or night. I will respond ASAP. I purchased this car from a 71 year old lady who was the original owner. Very well taken care of. 231,000 miles which will go up as this is my daily driver. I am sure you can find a cheaper car but not one this nice. Possible trade but must be something I can drive daily without any work.

LOL, I sold my Novarolla for $800 12 years ago, and it had less than half the miles! And it was a hatchback!

The Bimmer looks good though. You want a project, after all.

Then it was just old. Now it's a classic.

Yeah, and I don't have a personal garage, so a big project isn't going to work.
What I need is a running beater. Something that I can drive to the shop to complete any neglected maintenance items. Once it is deemed reliable, the Element can go up for sale. Dave Ramsey says I should be debt free.
