Love it.

I'm a fan of the current Renault Twingo. It's cute and can easily be tuned, plus the rear-engine + RWD layout probably make it feel like a mini Porsche 911.

It's one of the top five cars I currently lust after. It would make a nice city car and a fun car for blasting down country roads - once you've gotten used to the potential extreme slide and fishtailing.

Yeah, short wheelbase= massive rotation, not the good kind

Nah the engine sits super low and almost entirely within the wheelbase. Plus it's really slow and loaded with modern driving aids.

Depending on price, that could be a good deal.

Plus, wheelbase relative to the mass of the car is a factor. The 911 had lots of mass behind the wheelbase. Looks like at least 90% of the Twingo's mass is within the wheelbase.

Yep.... 991 alleviated a lot of that with its big wheelbase stretch (4" over 996-997, 8" over 993 and before)

Thinking more about it, I'm feeling like the 911's loopy nature was due to its short ass wheelbase more than anything. Early ones were like 88"... that's shorter than an NA Miata

That and the rear suspension geometry.  The semi-trailing arm setup used by pre-993 models had some shortcomings that contributed to the tendency to oversteer.
