VW switched the tanks just for the "BBW" engine. So instead of my fuel pump being $50, it's $600.



I found a cheap eBay Chinese knockoff ($89) so fingers crossed

This will require a larger engine, and extra load tires.

Ooookay, so I probably should have given it to my mechanic rather than my mechanically inclined friend.


Friend insisted on putting on belt. Used too long of a bolt putting it back together and it caught the belt and tore it. However, it tore the belt whilst cranking, (I cranked it literally once) so it didn't turn over at all.

Compression is good, and I don't think it'll need a valve job (I'd be angry as fuck if it does).


Right now, I'm thinking a sticky lifter or a bad injector. Who knows what it sucked up with that janky taped together fuel pump....
