I keep reading Theranos as "Thanos"

At this point, I'm pretty sure Musk is Thanos. The Model 3 launch was the last infinity stone. Now he can make half the money on earth disappear at the snap of his fingers.

How many mg per square? What's your tolerance; do you partake in recreational chocolate often?

Very rarely. Since college I've only ever had them in states you could legally buy it, because it's hard to get the dosing right and I don't put a lot of faith in my friend's molecular cooking skills.

I like to start at 20-30mg as an initial dose and then add more in 1-2hr increments as desired.

Depending on price, that could be a good deal.

It's all starting to come out too that their paint line is only permitted for a max of 5000 cars/week.  They're building up inventory after their bottlenecks during their typical week, and then trying to rush them through all in one week to hit an arbitrary goal for themselves.  This is a really, really inefficient way to go about manufacturing things.

Building cars in a tent sounds like a wonderful thing for paint quality.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

They have all sorts of bottle neck issues.  The paint booth is probably the most capital intensive one though.  So they're doing something like 2,000/week, but building up all this WIP (work in progress) of painted cars.  Then they construct this stupid tent, and try to flush all the WIP out as fast as possible, at any cost, to prove a point.  They're going to go back to 2-3k per week right when that's done.

To be fair the "tent" is using a similar fabric membrane as the roof for Denver International Airport...

... which has been standing since 1994, and which I would rank as my favorite US airport.

I have a degree in Bioengineering, though I am mostly doing plant biotechnology currently.

I did consider doing aeronautical engineering, or aerospace engineering, and I did an internship at MBDA, but in the end decided against it. My math skills are good, but they are not exceptional.

Bioengineering as in genetic engineering?

A pro-Tesla piece (longish but interesting.) I accept that Tesla/Musk are in the MSM crosshairs, the Trumpmeister will sympathize.

And here's a puff piece by a new owner, who accepts that he's irritatingly smitten in many of the sequences - but I forgive him. Tesla dazzles its owners and we all love new toys.

What exactly is that stat really suppose to mean?  I'm sure the assembly time of a Focus is much less then a BMW X5 which is less than a McLaren 720s

Musk has complained about the "granny walker" speed of auto assembly lines, repeatedly claimed he can produce cars much faster and more efficiently, it shows how his claims aren't always worth much.
