Did you grow up in Britain?
I went to Home Depot the other day.
I needed to pee & asked where I could fine the toilets. I followed the kind lady's directions and ended up in the toilets section... & my wife muttering "C'mon Andrew, you've been here 25 years, it's 'restrooms'."

Depending on price, that could be a good deal.

That's one of only a few stores that you'd have that problem in. Bad luck.

Steve Wozniak bails on Tesla. As I had predicted, Detroit, when it wanted to, would build better EVs and self-driving cars. (Steve walks past his Model Ss and goes for his Bolt.)

Honestly, somebody in Home Depot asks where th toilets are, I'd send them to the bathroom plumbing aisle.

Steve sounds about twelve deep in that quote. Movies? Does he think Elon Musk is Ironman?

No, but my parents grew up using English terminology because they went to British schools. So a lot of British terms were used in the house when I was young.

Interesting article on the Chevy Bolt. It requires almost no maintenance during the first 150.000 miles, well it depends how long it takes you to reach that.

I want to like the Bolt. I like the hatchback form factor vs the Tesla.

The killer for me is FWD. I know that it is fine for 90% of the population but I just really prefer AWD.

I just don't think there's a whole lot that need to be done to them; the consumables are brake pads, brake hydraulic fluid, & cabin air filters... maybe the inverters have air filters for their cooling fans?

Du'oh I should have connected the dots. I guess they use waste heat from the inverters to warm the battery pack - probably also for cabin heat.

The first-responder lack of access and lack of mechanical releases at the rear sound like a terrible lawsuit.

So Opel recommends a yearly inspection? That would seem to be a difference to Chevy.

JUMPER CABLES TO OPEN THE FUCKING HOOD ARE YOU SERIOUS.

It occurs to me that that works the solenoid directly; which means that anybody who knows about this can open the front trunk of one of these whenever they want to.

I'm waiting to hear the defense, or more likely the dismissal.

That being said, I've worked with that company before. They were hired to settle whether a fit problem with sunroofs was my company's fault (Inalfa) or the stamping company's (Magna). While they were generally competent and honest, it was clear their bias was toward Magna from the start (a much larger company that they did much more business with).

So I kinda wonder here; who's paying them to do this?
