Stunning Mercedes-AMG GT sedan concept to debut in Geneva

While the Panamera Sport Turismo may have made all the headlines earlier this week, Stuttgart's new wagon isn't the only sexy four door arriving on the floor of the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Mercedes-AMG is unveiling its GT sedan concept, a thinly veiled preview of the automaker's upcoming AMG GT-based sedan. Frankly, the teaser image looks phenomenal.

We'll have more details on the car soon, but for now all we can do is swoon over the sleek fastback shape pictured here. Like the Panamera to the 911, the GT sedan concept looks like a stretched AMG GT coupe. Where the Mercedes wins out is that the standard proportions of the AMG GT already fit for a front-engine car, whereas the 911's rear-engine shape doesn't translate as well to sedan form.

The car is most likely based on the AMG GT platform, meaning it should pack a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 and great driving dynamics. The full reveal is coming near, so look for more details over the next few days.
