Is that a solid rear axle?

Is it actually a true 4WD SUV and not a crossover?

Full reveal is today.  All we know right now is mechanical four-wheel drive and selectable low-range.  It sure does look like a beefy dif though

It'll probably end up being too small for what I'm looking for, but cool!

The press release calls it "mechanical four-wheel drive and selectable low-range" so it does sound like real 4x4. Almost certainly uni-body, not body on frame, possibly based on the foreign market C-HR. The press release is full of millennial stereotypes, if that tells you anything.

In short, this is definitely much more of a Renegade competitor than a Wrangler competitor or proper FJ Cruiser replacement.
