It looks like these leaked from some dealer conference.


The "Powerful Family" looks like the EU Seat Ateca and Skoda Karoq with a VW nose and tail. This looks like what the US will get to slot under the Tiguan, instead of the T-ROC.

The "Advanced Mid-size" looks like a 5-passenger SWB Atlas.

The atlas is nice as a people mover... Just stuck with a mediocre drivetrain.  I'd expect more of the same from this.

Sucks the US isn't getting the Touareg... I love those things except for the dated VR6

What's wrong with the 3.6? And for 99% of the population a SWB Atlas makes more sense. Glad the Touareg isn't coming, we already have the Q7 it should be.

In the vR6 in the Touareg combined a high price with mediocre power (280hp in something that heavy) and mediocre fuel economy.  The base Cayenne suffered the same issues before getting a turbo.

Touareg with a turbo 6 would have been great

Atlas nose is roomy, they can put a hot vee turbo 6 in it.
