The Ford Truck forum says the 6.2 is the most reliable engine, ever ... and the transmission. Of course, they probably say that about every engine in a Ford Truck.

I haven't worked on the 6.2. I have to assume that it is improved over the 5.4 and V10.
That's a good sign then, isn't it?

Yeah. The numbers look good. 0-60 in 7 seconds, right? It is a truck engine for trucks. The 6 speed automatic is the same as the one behind the diesel.

Not many issues with that motor. The plugs are a bitch to change, but....

Eye of the Tiger

Huge aftermarket for the 6.2, and their headquarters is like an hour away from here. Sweet.

Can't be any worse than a 5.4, even with 16 plugs.

I have an additional solution for GMC's 700R4 TV cable. I  am going to get this right. It can tow something.

The good news is that I got my TV cable adjusted and clamped in place so it won't keep going out of adjustment. GMC is running good.

Wouldn't it be sweet to haul around a little camper with this thing?

The Cummins M-11 will be way overpowered. I mean, it was built to move actual mobile homes, not camper trailers.

Nah. I decided to stay in this shit state, but in a county with lower taxes. I might move to a different state if I ever get a job that pays well enough to worry about income tax.

The problem is, I have been all through this GMC, in and out, back and forth, and I know it's done right. So it's a 4.3 with 3.42 gears in a little 28-spline 8.5" rear end, whatever. It's going to tow a 5000# camper trailer and it's going to like it.

Just keep it in first gear.

Low range? I can easily disable the front axle and have 4 speeds in low range.

GMC did well commuting, today. Very torque. 0-30 is pretty quick. After that, eh.
Tomorrow is Dakota Thursday. Might install this subwoofer that's been sitting in my livingroom.

Set the crossover between the speakers and sub at 80 Hz with a 6 dB slope on the sub and 12 dB on the speakers, tweaked some EQ. Set sub level to 3/10. Fear Factory has come to life. Amazing sound for right at $200 between the head unit, install kit, door speakers, subwoofer, and dat Home Depot Dynamat schit.
