So if I put a dual carb intake on Ranger

what carburetors would I use?

Buy junkyard 302 and auto trans. Stuff in Ranger. Have fun until rear end explodes.

Yeah, that's a thing, too.

I just got back from a night on the town in Ranger, and I have to say it is just too cool to sell for a piddly $700.

Ranger has so much more low end torque than Dakota, it's stupid. It will happily idle along in OD at 35 MPH, despite the warnings on the sun visor.

Drove Dakota today. Smooth ride, quiet, AC, stereo, but feels so much slower than Ranger. Can't decide which to sell.

I still like Venture/Montana. For camping, remove rear seat, keep two middle seats, which fold forward to make the floor into a bed. Curb weight of 3800# means it's lighter than most minivans, the gearing of the 4spd transaxle is super tall, and 3400 V6 in not awful except intake gaskets. Should be able to beat the 24 MPG highway rating.

Everything about the Venture/Montana is shite. They were not nice whatsoever, right from the get-go. They sold on $/lb, or $/ft3.

A friends mom had one.  The passenger side power door partially fell off the hinges, while driving, at 40k miles.  I think it was the first iteration of that utilitarian cancer, not the ugly, bulbous one that followed.

My grandparents had a Pontiac Montana. We were in it during a thunderstorm and it was the loudest thing I've ever heard, due to the metal roof and lack of structure/stiffness.

We are 90% sure lightning struck the top of our 1987 Dodge Caravan in the middle of a thunderstorm.  Everybody was poopin bricks.
