The number of hypercars is becoming excessive, and seemingly more and more spec sheet cars, but this one has me intrigued. I like his philosophy, for example when asked about the 19 inch wheels as opposed something huge "There is no rubbish on this cars. I do not do tightly springed cars, I do not do cars without luggage space." I also love the non-aggressiveness of the design.

As far as I'm concerned, this is the only supercar.

I like it, but I also sorry of fell this could have been a series 2 F1 built 10-15 years ago.  I think the hypercard coming out of Aston Martin and Mercedes have a fairly higher level of innovation in them.

I'm glad to see Harry (who has one of the best automobile-related channels) invited in to do this. I agree with you: this is probably the final expression of the ICE supercar in pure form. No frippery. No faddish bollocks. And the best engineering available.

Magnificent. Can we vote to have this guy put in charge of designing all cars?

It is so rare that I can agree with another car  builder/designer/enthusiast/person about every single thing. And I mean that has never happened. But Gordon Murray is flawless. Be my daddy.

Yeah, central seating on a road car remains stupid.

Yeah, central seating on a road car remains stupid.

I drove a crane with a central seat for a while and other than egress/ingress, I really liked it.

The T50 probably rides lower though.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

I might need a crane to lift me in and out of a T50, but that's my fault, not the car's.

I didn't know that cranes had passenger seating.

Is that a job? Crane passenger?

They don't. Usually.

I would assume a crane built on some kind of truck chassis.  Passenger seats would be for the actual boom operator(s).

Yes.

But, legally, if you don't have passengers or haul cargo (tools are OK), it can be called a crane, and doesn't in most states need plates.

So a lot of the time the passenger seat is removed.

I have done lots of crane work in the man lift. It's a pain in the ass.

Since a large part of the roof opens up, it probably is less of an issue, same as with the F1.

And I have no doubt that the Valkyrie will perform amazing, but it seems to be more of a track focused car similar to the McLaren Senna. One impresses me about the T50 is that it actually was designed with GT qualities in mind.

r0tor

How many people are going to daily drive a $2+ million car?  At that price tag a track weapon only makes sense as it's only going to be a pleasure car.   You can get similar performance and comfortable street car from a McLaren for 1/10 the price.
