Huh? These are not rare here...

Is This 2014 Mercedes-Benz G500 Cabriolet Worth Almost $400,000?

Few Mercedes-Benz models are as iconic as the G-Class and a particularly cool example is heading to auction in a couple of days.

Making this G-Class stand out from most others you'll see on public roads is the fact that it is a two-door and is a cabriolet. In fact, it is one of just 200 examples of the G500 Cabriolet Final Edition that was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2013 to commemorate the end of the two-door cabriolet production. It has been well-maintained and is expected to sell for between 300,000 and 350,000 Swiss Francs.

The RM Sotheby's listing confirms the car left the factory in Graz, Austria on 21 October 2013 and was delivered to a Munich dealership two days later. It is painted in a shade dubbed Designo Platinum Black that has been complemented by a chrome-colored AMG-style grille, chrome waistline trim, and chrome V8 badges. It also features brushed aluminum kickplates that feature 'Final Edition 200' backlighting. The folding soft top has a tan finish.

Found in the cabin is tan-colored Designo leather to match the soft top. While only a two-door, the G500 Cabriolet Final Edition offers seating for four and is a sure-fire way to stand out, even if the owner lived somewhere like Monte Carlo.

Power is provided by a 5.5-liter naturally-aspirated V8 pumping out 388 hp and 398 lb-ft (540 Nm) of torque. Coupled with the engine is a 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels. The listing confirms the car has only been driven 3,387 miles (5,452 km).
