Apparently there is no more FWD A250, only an A250 4Matic. And - in keeping with Mercedes-Benz tradition - they screwed up the facelift. That new AMG body kit front looks terrible.

2023 Mercedes-Benz A-Class, AMG A35 And A45 Get The Most Subtle Of Updates

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz A-Class has just been introduced in hatchback and sedan guise and it could prove to be the final iteration of the compact model.

Exterior changes made to the A-Class are minimal. Indeed, you may need to take out a magnifying glass to notice the alterations that include a refreshed grille with a star pattern, new headlights that can be optioned with LEDs, four new wheel designs, standard LED taillights, and a new rear diffuser.

The modifications made to the cabin of the 2023 A-Class are equally as small yet will certainly be appreciated by shoppers. A 7-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.25-inch infotainment display come standard but dual 10.25-inch displays are available as an option. There is also a new flat-bottomed steering wheel, a simplified center console without a rotary controller for the MBUX system, and turbine-inspired air vents.

Mercedes-Benz has also made changes to the standard components of the various trim levels on offer. For example, entry-level models come standard with three-dimensionally embossed ARTICO upholstery while the Progressive trim's cabin is available in black, beige, and a new sage grey. New dark carbon fiber-look trim also adorns the instrument panel and door panels while AMG Line models sport bright brushed aluminum trim and red contrast stitching.

Various new features also come standard across the A-Class range. For example, the entry-level model is equipped with a reversing camera, a USB package, and a steering wheel finished in Nappa leather. Progressive trim models add things like LED headlights, lumbar support, the Parking Package, and the Mirror Package as standard. Mercedes-Benz has also bundled together functional features that are frequently ordered together to simplify the personalization process.

The updated A-Class's MBUX system is also more advanced than ever before and now incorporates a fingerprint sensor, an additional USB-C port, and improvements to the Hey Mercedes voice assistant. The Driver Assistance Package has also been improved while a new Parking Package supports longitudinal parking and a 360-degree surround view.

Mercedes-Benz has also updated all non-AMG petrol models with 48-volt mild-hybrid systems that include a belt-driven starter-generator. The car will be offered in A 250 e hatch and sedan guises, as well as in A 180, A 200, A 220 4Matic, A 250 4Matic, A 180d, A 200 d, and A 220d forms.

Continuing to top out the range are the Mercedes-AMG A 35 (hatchback and sedan) and A 45 S models. They benefit from largely the same visual upgrades as lesser A-Class models and the A 35 is equipped with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system.

A special variant of the 2023 Mercedes-AMG A 45 S will also be offered to customers. It is dubbed the AMG Street Style Edition and is finished in Mountain Grey Magno with fluorescent orange accents, 19-inch matte black wheels, red brake calipers, and a handful of interior changes, including black Microcut microfiber Performance seats with orange accents.

Maybe that new AMG body kit front is only for their street style edition.  From the article "AMG Street Style Edition and is finished in Mountain Grey Magno with fluorescent orange accents, 19-inch matte black wheels, red brake calipers,".  Doubt they would have that body kit front for all of the AMG versions as the boy racer look isn't for most 40 plus year old men.

I think these cars are great looking, inside and out.  Better than BMW.

Nope, it's the new facelifted AMG body kit. I think it looks rather "soft". For comparison's sake, above is the new AMG body kit, below the original (which my car has). I think the old AMG body kit looks so much better.  ;)
