Eye of the Tiger

I need a big truck. I can hardly drive anymore because there are so many road raging nut jobs around here. I had a dream last night that I had a 1993 F-350 with a dump body.

I have no problem with dykes.

I just found out that Connecticut doesn't even require a drivers education as long as you drive a year with your permit and then take a drug and alcohol course. God damn, this fucking country is fucked.

I feel you. My neighbor's dog ran into my garage and nipped my ankle (enough to break the skin) today so I had to get my tetanus booster this afternoon.

People are shit all over.

Anyway, I've been perusing CL for a while, and Dodge trucks/SUVs seem to be the best deals (non diesel). Yes, Mopar truck product was a distant third behind GM and Ford, but that also means they were late to the show with stuff that is a PITA to fix as it ages, such as IFS and F/I. Have owned a few - I'd avoid the full time transfer cases and removable tops (Ramchargers, Trail Duster), which went away by 1980 - IMO I'd target 1980 - 1985. I will say however, the price on that F350 seems shockingly low if it runs and drives properly.

Poverty spec Ramcharger would be pretty cool:

Ha, those are very cool. The local gas station in the town I grew up in has one of those (same year too) as a runabout car that's been used my whole life, and continues to be used.

I wasn't aware any state required such a thing. I certainly wasn't required to take any courses when I got my drivers license, and my youngest brother learned to drive by us (me and my older brothers) teaching him in a parking lot. I thought that was how most people learned to drive.

Of course you have to pass the driving test as well.

^Yeah I never took drivers ed

I took a 3-day course to get a class A CDL. I thought it was bullshit, but I needed a job.

I'm pretty sure in Connecticut for a teenager under 18 to get a drivers license, you need to have driving instruction for at least 8 hrs in high school or a commercial driving school.  Usually they get many hours of classroom instruction as well (which can be done by zoom).  There are a lot of restrictions on who the teenager can have in their car and what hours they can drive until they reach 18.

For adults getting their first time drivers license, they also need 8 hrs of instruction from a commercial driving school (unless you have a license from another state or country).

Well people still suck at driving

I'm a little bit familiar with this because my daughter just got her learner's permit.

I found an F350 V10 5-speed. I should trade my soul for it.

I changed my mind again. I just need to lower expectations, while increasing agility. I should trade SAVAGE for a scooter.

Piaggio Liberty S 150. It must be Italian!
Fuel injected, 60 MPH and >90 MPG. I'll trade in savage.
