Sorry about the belated posting of this week?s Rice of the Week. Been terribly annoyed with the POS Sony Vaio (with Windows ME) and its broken keyboard etc. I can?t wait for my computer to obtain Internet.

Anyway, don?t throw up when you see these two pieces of crap. These two abominations were photographed up at the local Mercedes-Benz / Chrysler dealership in the employee parking lot. God, I nearly threw up when I saw these two rice cars next to each other. The Mercedes 190 (W201) has its Mercedes? stars removed upfront and at the back, with a unnecessary large ?what the f*ck is that? circle being positioned in the center of the ?modded? grille. The grey hood and trunk looks out of place (duh) and simply stupid. Judging from the down turned exhaust, this is a 190D, or diesel, there was no RPM counter. Notice the red cloth seats and the ivory steering wheel. Just plain silly?

The BMW owner next to the Benz obviously invested more money into making his car look like a shitbox. The front is terribly messed up and this guy has gotten influenced by the German ricer trend of removing the BMW logo from BMW?s. I guess he ran out of cash and couldn?t afford a Honda badge to slap on? Also notice that the car is slammed and has M style mirrors. These two things combined must mean that this car is really one serious performanze machine. He even has twin spoilers at the rear, for that extra downforce at the track, baby. Needless to say, he?s got a better taste in colors than the 190D Benz next to him.

Oh well, there?s so much crap driving around here. These two examples are still pretty tame. But my are they friggin ugly...

The Mercedes doesn't look bad at all. I'd just remove the circle on it. The BMW however, looks like ass.

Actually, between the 1.8T or the V6, the V6 is more of a poseur engine.  The 1.8T is the engine of choice for performance tuners because it's so easy to get more power from it.  The V6 doesn't have much aftermarket support.

Of course, that's in the context of the old 2.8L V6.  The newer V6 is a lot more potent out of the box, though I still don't believe it has much aftermarket support.

I think the 2.0T gets more aftermarket support because it does work in so many different cars.
