Pacifica Powers Up With New V-6!

CHELSEA, MI ? The Chrysler Pacifica cross/utility vehicle, slammed for being underpowered since its launch in 2003, gets a horsepower boost for '07 in the form of a new 4.0L SOHC V-6.

The new engine, which is standard equipment on all Pacificas except the base front-wheel-drive model, makes 255 hp ? an increase of 5 hp over the 3.5L SOHC V-6 that has been the line's premium powerplant.

The 3.8L OHV V-6 becomes the standard engine on FWD base-model Pacificas.
The '07 horsepower hike also comes with a significant torque boost. The new V-6 will generate peak torque of 265 lb.-ft. (359 Nm), up from 250 lb.-ft. (339 Nm).
In addition, the 4.0L V-6 is mated to a new 6-speed automatic transmission that features variable line pressure.

The new 4.0L and the 3.8L holdover now also boast electronic throttle control. All-wheel-drive Pacificas have an electronically controlled clutch, as well.
Electronic stability control, which includes an all-speed traction control system and brake assist, becomes standard equipment as Chrysler Group continues its push to make the anti-rollover technology available on a wider array of vehicles.

Freshened '07 Chrysler Pacifica gets larger engine.

A premium tire pressure monitoring system that offers specific information on each wheel is optional on the Pacifica Touring and standard on the Pacifica Limited.
Outside, the CUV gets a freshened appearance with hood, fender, headlamp, grille and front fascia revisions.

Dual chrome exhaust tips and a 4.0L badge are featured on models equipped with the new V-6.

And there are three new colors: Cognac Crystal Pearl Coat, Marine Blue Pearl Coat and Modern Blue Pearl Coat.

Inside, the rear-seat entertainment system features a larger 8-in. (20-cm) screen. And Chrysler offers its durable YES Essentials fabric upholstery that resists stain.

My friend's mom spilled a bottle of milk all over the the floor of her new Pacifica and somehow didn't notice. Hannah said the thing smells like shit and no one wants to ride in it anymore. They shampoed the floor, but can't get the smell out. I saw her (Hannah, not her mom) riding around in it the other day with her head out the window - Ace Ventura style.
As I write, highly civilized human beings are flying overhead, trying to kill me.

Depending on price, that could be a good deal.

Febreze the rug and the headliner, and anything else that can take Febreze.  If that doesn't work, douse it in gasoline, set it on fire, roll it off a cliff, and then report it stolen.

I'm very familiar with Febreeze. It's saved my ass on many occasions, particularly, masking the ganja.

I like you second idea better.  :praise:  It's more

5hp and 15lbs-ft of torque from increase of 0.5L?  That's shit.  for that kind of increase in displacement there should be at least 20hp.

i detected a very foul smell for quite sometime while driving a 2000 maxima se. after months of this, i removed everything from the truck and found a big wedge of blue cheese that must've slipped out of a grocery bag months prior. i cannot believe how that nasty odor made it's way into the cabin   !
