280Z Turbo

Okay...not really, but it is a 2002 Ford Focus ZX3. It has all the bells and whistles on it, including a sunroof (for Raza's sake).

Notice that it also has cool looking directional tires too.

These pics kinda suck (my camera isn't set up right) but here they are:

Thanks.

If you could see it in person, you would see that it needs wax really bad! I didn't have any around, so it will have to wait another day or two.

sorry, dude! i was waiting w/ baited breath to see a brand new nissan z sports coupe or convertible. no, buddy! i'm not disappointed; it's just that i NEVER heard of a fmc z car!!!

however, i hope you're happy w/ your new ford subcompact   ! yeah! you should get better mpg w/ the entry level ford opposed to the nissan z car, eh?! does it have leather? a sunroof? a navigation system? tell all!

i don't know as much about the ford z car, as i am w/ the sexy nissan, but others seem to think you made a great decision. owning maximas is why i know more about their "z". there's nothing i don't know about nissan and infiniti.

please tell us more about your new purchase! did this vehicle just come out as an '07  :praise: ?! is it an all new version of the escort?! is the "z" the sports car version of the escort? the top of the line model?

i'm so excited for you! i'll have to check out this model at my local ford dealership, as i don't know a thing about this sports car :P ! my good friend owns a ford-lincoln-mercury-nissan dealership in upstate, ny, where i'll be vacationing, so i'll have a chance to compare both z models! i'm excited! i'll give you my report this weekend   !

^ You are joking right?

Its a Ford Focus ZX3, not a Z car. That was just a play on words since he has a 280Z.

man! i need to read a lot closer! [i just re-read the above]! i didn't realize that this is a used car. well, that answers some of my questions (see my entry, above). i guess i don't need to test drive one, unless this model is still available as a 2007 model. is it???

i've never owned a used car before. are you the second owner? did the car have low miles? did you buy privately? from a ford dealership? my friend, tim, who owns the fmc/nissan dealership i spoke of tells me that either is VERY important.

thank you for educating me, buddy   !

Very nice! I love the 3-door (if that is what you call them) Focii. Great cars, and good fun to drive. Excellent choice.

Nice looking car, I love the way those things drive.

Nice car, congrats!

First mod: SVT suspension and wheels.

The ZX3 is my favorite of the Focus models, is really nice looking. Especially in black! It should be a fun ride and plenty economical to boot.  :praise:

I've already expressed my feelings about this purchase.  It's like becoming a father, only better.

Last time I sat in a Focus the thing that seemed weird was the steering wheel. Isn't it unusually thick?

Thick is good.  Get in an R32 or M3.

If you're used to leather covered steering wheels, not really. If you're used to driving around in a '57 Corvette, then yes it's very thick. ;)

It has nice little bulges at 10 and 2 just like an aftermarket Momo wheel would. I like it, I just wish it was closer to my chest!

I really like the Focus so far. It has plenty of power without the A/C turned on, the gearbox is smooth (damn well better be after paying for that Motorcraft shit  ), and the handling is fantastic.

ifcar

Your car doesn't have the telescoping wheel? It wasn't standard equipment, but not rare on well-equipped models like yours. If you're not sure, definitely check.

Every Focus I've driven has featured telescoping a steering column, actually it was one of my grievances I noted against the painfully-proportioned rental Corolla.

So you're saying the Motorcraft stuff did have a positive effect on gearbox smoothness? How hard was it to add?

What is this "Motorcraft gearbox stuff" that you speak of?
If you mean the oil, doesn't it come with Motorcraft from the factory?
