Lots of good shots of drifting, I was suprised the massive S Klasses AMG didnt smoke its wheels longer, that thing has way to much power.

Dude, thanks a lot, what a sweet video :P

I thought  the porsche looked the most composed drifting through the corners, it just made me melt.

And that minivan thing flying over the crest of the hill was the funniest shiat I've seen all week!

Depending on price, that could be a good deal.

AMG models' backup systems only come back on during a panic brake.

That Astra flying over the hill reminded me of a Nottingham Taxicab on a Friday night.

Nice video!

Why are Lambos so ugly?  :banghead:

Laconian

QuoteSame reason the new Impreza so ugly? :banghead:
The Impreza's flying vagina grille makes it very ugly. The Lambo has no such oriface.

It's an airplane grille.

And in person, it looks rather good.  And I think it looks really good in my sig pic.

And Lambos look great.

QuoteWhat airplane? I thought it was from the Tribeca, which I must say, is even more uglier.

If it makes you feel any better, I happen to be a fan of ugly cars with kick ass performance.
It's supposed to look like an airplane.

That's a great way to spend $5K a year on tires.

I was thinking, "I hope they get a discount on tires!"

Fun stuff-
Makes me really miss my SHO- just because I've driven slushomatic since it died, and it was some fun to drive on the Autobahn..

I'm amazed at the skill of these guys, but I have to admit, the squealing tires get in the way of the glorious exhaust notes.  Also, you're basically taking a machine that was designed to cut curves and blast thru chicanes, and now you're forcing it to plough all over the track whilst shredding tires.  From an elitist perspective, one might find such displays as vulgar.   I don't agree that it's vulgar, but I'm sure that's what some people feel.  I could watch a normal race for 2 hours, but I could never watch drifting for more than a few minutes.

I look at it a show of skill.  Clearly, it's not the fastest way around a racetrack, but car control is key here, which means a lot to me.

The colored smoke tires are a little too much for me.

I love to see cars drift. Of course this is not the fastest way to take a corner (except maybe in the Rallye sports), but it looks very nice.

BTW: That movie is taken from the carmagazine Motorvision (something like the british Top Gear. A magzine that tests cars.) and it was introduced as some kind of "the best moments of the past year" or something similar.

Yeah it definitely takes quite a bit of skill to do it. But its like some things in life that's like yeah its fun, but its completely useless. Its fun to watch for a couple of minutes but it gets old real quick.
