Coolant Filters, eh?

What do you guys think about coolant filters like this?

It obviously seems like a good idea, but then why haven't I ever seen one before?

I'm thinking of ordering this Tefba filter and trying it on my redneck truck...

Eh, all it's going to do is filter out larger globs of whatever that waxy stuff is that collects over time.  Not sure if that stuff even hurts the car, and if you change your coolant regularly then you shouldn't have to worry about it.

Just make sure that cap is going to handle, idunno, 25psi or whatever the coolant system gets up to. 

Probably wouldn't hurt, I guess, but sounds like a gimmick to me.

Also, the setup on the website struck me as being remarkably ugly Not quite sure why
