Raza's gone from Mr. Elise-is-enough to Mr. Practical. :P

I'm just saying that if I were in the market for a sedan, it's unlikely that I'd get a Solstice.

And the Elise is enough!

I agree with the last part.

With a stick.

That leaves the GTO and the Mustang and the Solstice.? And none of them are sedans.

Oh right.  If it drives anything like the 350Z though, I remain unimpressed.

I don't know if I welcomed you before Vinsanity, so if I hadn't, I apologize and offer welcome now.

But, as you'll come to know, I'm about the only person who doesn't fall head over heels for the 350Z (although I honestly want to).

Vinsanity

thanks! :ohyeah:

I understand the comment about the Z (platform sharing can only take you so far), but I hear the new G35 is a remarkable improvement in all the right areas. In any case, it's probably the polar opposite of the C350 anyways, in terms of sport vs. luxury

I'm usually the first to say that looks should be the last thing on your list, but the new G35 just looks like a Lexus to me.

Although, as a value, it's a wonderful choice (as is the Z).  I'm pretty sure I wouldn't buy any entry-luxury cars any time soon, nor any luxury cars again (I used to drive a V6 E320).  I look at most of them and think "Why wouldn't I just buy an RX-8 or GTI?"

Here's my take on Benz: the E class is pure class, it's the best looking car on the market today in my opinion. I have to stare everytime I see one. I hated the new S class when it first came out but has now grown on me. The C class is a bit feminine looking for me especially from the front. The new CLS is a looker inside and out.
The R / A / B / ML / GL  classes are rubbish. Mercedes should stick to building sedans and coupes.

The ML and GL are great cars.

The R is a great vehicle, with poor market placement.  They were too redundant between the G, GL, ML, and R.
