I wish I had a 3er! But I'm really, really happy with this Audi.

The Pirate

It's a great looking car, I've always got an eye out for a mint low mileage B5 quattro.

I really hope it works out.

Why not check out an older E46, like a used 323 or 328? They're great cars, and aren't too expensive.

If I did buy a 3er, I really want an E36.  Ehh, we'll see.  I'm not in a huge hurry to dump my current car (no hurry at really), but if the right teutonic sedan pops up, I could be persuaded go into debt again.

sorry, thread hijack over

Thats an awesome engine.

The Pirate

Manual tranny for me definitely, and I like the Audi a lot.  I'm cheap though, I'd have to save up a bit more to get a downpayment big enough to where the loan is only a few grand.  I wouldn't really want to borrow more than 5K, just because it's an older car, and will need some maintenance/repairs.

Food for thought though, and those prices are definitely in the ballpark!  Who knows, maybe I will be able to join your club soon!  If I had a 3er, could I be an honorary member due to it's extreme awesomeness?

The 3er is a class above this club.

I think Tony was the first with a 1.8T, then I got mine.

Stop knocking your car Ro! It will get offended with all your trashing of it; you are almost denying it of its awesomeness.

ro51092

I haven't trashed my car yet. I just like the 3er more.

I LOVE my car a lot! I don't regret buying it at all.

Thats an awesome engine.

It would be happier not connected to 4000 lbs of station wagon and a 5A, but it still holds its own :praise:

Raza

The 2.7T is a pretty kicking engine, but the 1.8T is pretty much the best engine ever made.

BMWs suck.

BMWs do not suck. And the 2.0T is better than the 1.8T :P

Nice.
I'd take a VQ over a 335i turbo engine.

I'd want to drive a 335i before i made that statement. I love the VQ buts its a little rough around the edges. Best sounding V6 out there though IMO.

Pfft, a 22RE is much better than a BMW V10.
