Why? I'd rather hear the comments.

New one.

The old one is way too small and anemic for me.

You know you can make comments with polls too, right? ;)

They're not mutually exclusive.

He's right though.  Some people vote and then leave without posting.

It's a tossup.  I'd never be able to drive the original Mini in day to day traffic, but it would be a blast.  I wonder if I'd fit in one...

Kind of like the 2002 vs. 335i debate... The old one's probably a little more engaging to drive.

It was a wonderful little car but I like the new one too much.

Why is the last version not an option?  The supercharged Cooper S was maybe one of the best cars ever.  The new one drives too much like not a MINI.

Minpin

The new mini was so wonderfully done that it takes the cake over the old one IMO.

Oh, I forgot that this was the new model.  Original all the way then.

I figured the previous model was close enough to the current one to not include it. My bad.

Have you guys seen the ZCar site? I'll give you a hint: Hayabusa+Original Mini!?

A guy I worked with years ago had the old one and I couldn't fit in it.  It's probably more "fun"  than the new one but I couldn't be comfortable in it.

Raza

I'd take the R50 to drive everyday, the original to track, and the R56 if I want my speedometer visible from space.

I vote for the original.  1959-2000.  Without this car, there would be no "New Mini".

The current car isn't a Mini, it's a small Rover sold by BMW.  Still a great car, though.  It's just not a Mini.

New, only because it comes with a dinner plate to eat your McDonalds from...oh wait....thats the speedometer!

Old! My mother had one, up until 1990, and she tells me that it was a fantastic car.

Plus, a Cooper S won Bathurst in 1966. Vroom.

I'm going to buy a tube radio so we can huddle round it and, by the light of a single candle, listen to President Obama's fireside chats.
