Saw these posted on The Car Lounge.

Call me crazy but I think it looks really, really good.  :ohyeah:

Catman

Much better than the mule pics we saw earlier.

nickdrinkwater

That looks good.  Maybe a little fussy, but a lot better than I expected.  I'm glad they didn't butcher it a la 95.

BLS eat your heart out!

Well, I concede defeat. I was highly critical of this in the spy-shots, and I think it looks terrific now.

What a shame it doesn't come with an interior re-packaging.

Champ

Dang you beat me to it!

It does look very aggressive, especially that pic of the wagon turned a little bit.

Saab always pleases me with their rims, the rims on all of these look excellent!

Colonel Cadillac

It looks much better than I anticipated from the mule pics!

Does anybody feel that there should be a crease or line of somesort on the doors where the grey plastic strip is on the current gen 9^3?

Raza

Wow.  Worlds away from the spy pics.  A little too 06 Impreza-ish in the headlamps, but not bad.

Now just crossing my fingers on that AWD.  Hopefully that pans out to be a good system.

Ha! Saab used to have the worst rims in the business up until around 2000. Look at these weird things that came on my 9000 Turbo:

What do you mean those were classic!  They were the basis for the Aero rims which are still very good looking til this day.

You had the super Inca's, take a look at the regular ones!

Other favorites of mine are the soccerballs and Super Aero.
My '87 had the Sunburst rims on it.

Raghavan

Huh. Still not as good as the car it replaces.

I agree.

Not nearly as bad as what was done to the 9-5, but still not as nice as the current appearance.

I love it. It looks more like a proper SAAB than the old version (thanks to the return of the hockey stick headlights).

cozmik

I think it looks great! It's a good evolution of the current styling, and a nice update. I'll definitely be looking at one this fall when they come out as a potential successor to my current 9-3.

I also don't understand.  Although I can see where he gets it in the current head lights.  The whole bringing back thing confuses me.

Well, it's understandable that you'd want to jump me, such is my lure.

TBR

The second gen 900, 9-3, and 9-5 all had L-shaped headlights so to me that is a traditional styling cue. I know it wasn't introduced until the '90s, but it is still a styling feature that I associate with Saab.

Of course. That, and the fact that due to your regularly drunken state, it'd be easy to take advantage of you.

Oh, and I drive a gigantic American car, which is an instant orgasm for you.

Giant American car! *orgasm*

It's not a V8, though. That makes a difference.

Potentially, after I graduate from university, I'll drop a Hemi into it.
