The FT-HS has been approved for production for 2009 as a Supra???  Seems a little quick to production to me.

Eye of the Tiger

I suppose this is good news... as long as the production version doesn't look anything like the concept, I believe I might like it.

I wanted twin turbos... :(

No good.

I'll take this please:

Vinsanity

To me, waiting for a new Supra is like waiting by the phone heartbroken for your ex-girlfriend to call. It's hopeless, unlikely, and if it does happen, disappointing.

Well put.

Payman

Yay... another bloated, overpriced "sports car".

I don't care what anyone says, that thing looks awesome, like a fighter jet with wheels.

Tave

I like it too. I hope the production version looks as much like the concept as possible.

Depending on price, that could be a good deal.

thanks! you may have noticed I've been practicing pretty hard at it :praise:

:(
Will this thing have the hybrid crap in it?

Catman

Needs a little toning down in a couple areas but I really like the concept.  Very edgy and modern.

Fighter jets have wheels.

The looks don't concern me as much as the hybrid aspect.  It's pretty well known that under hard driving, the hybrid batteries get sucked dry in short order.  Take that thing to a track and you'll have a 400 hp car for about one lap, then you'll be stuck with a 300 hp car with several hundred pounds of useless dead batteries in the trunk for the rest of the event.

You think it's boring???

That design is more radical than almost any car comming to production.

when i saw it at the autoshow, i thought to myself all they have to do is clean up the front end and they will have one superbadass looking car... i'll stand by that thought

That's a great point... I don't believe in performance hybrids. Plus it's not like MPG is going to get any better.

Oh, what an amazingly dynamic design this is:

You definitely think that the W163 is more exciting than this, because of the Benz badge, right?

heelntoe

a rock would be more dynamic than the 163.

Not really.... a four second car for under 40k, and if it is a four second car powered by a Hybrid V6, it must be relatively light too
