Indeed--if America were to embrace the small car, there would be no need for finnicky and expensive hybrids that don't actually save you any money.

Hey, every time I say I want a Caterham as my daily driver, people laugh at me.  "But how are you going to be able to go offroad in it like I do in my Escalade?" ~short soccer mom, 8mpg, who drives alone 99% of the time.
"What if it rains?" ~whiny bitches across America.

"I get wet, BITCHES!  Then I put the top on, and drive home while you all have a cup of coffee from the cappuccino maker in the back seat and wait it out."  ~Raza.

And you would actually look good driving this, whereas you look like a fart when you drive a hybrid.

Hell yeah, I'd drive that biznatch, though after I'm done with it, it won't be so frugal (can you say nitrous and what not?).  But, hellz no I ain't drivin' no Prius.

But seriously, though.  I'd drive that biznatch.

Radicals are cool and all, but they offer not much more performance for a lot more money.  And, I don't think they're road legal in America.

Caterhams also give you powerplant flexibility, which means if you're crazy enough, you can shoehorn an LS1, LS2, or LS6 in there.
