I would be more charitable toward the Prowler if it was a high performance car, but it was basically a backwards Treppy.

And existed on the market at the same time as the S2000, Z3, and Boxster. Hell, even the Solstice/Sky was a better attempt at an American roadster.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

So how is the 8.2 liter V8 Detroit Diesel?
DUMPTRUCK could tow a big camper, especially if I scrapped the dump bed.

Yeah but if people wanted literally almost ZERO trunk, they'd get a motorcycle. At least an H2 does what it should- be a 4 wheel transport vehicle.
But was it any better than the 'Burban it was based on? It was all about style... Just like the Prowler.

What bugs me most about the Prowler is that Chrysler based it on a retro design, but it wasn't THEIR retro design.

I love those but at the same time I think they look funny. I think it's the massive size of the engine compartment/hood/fenders compared to the tires. Like a fat guy riding on a tiny skateboard.

Beautiful. Not $30K beautiful, but still.

Go ahead and check the prices on some other ones.

That's nowhere near as clean.  I can see rust and chipping paint everywhere. Engine is untouched.  Somebody fucked the interior with a crap aftermarket stereo and stupid stickers.  But good try.

Think it would cost $15K to fix it?
The reality is that if you pay a professional to restore an old vehicle, it's cost will almost always exceed the actual value of the vehicle. That Jeep I posted has been on CL for two weeks. You may take it for $12k with some talking.

So............if it's gonna cost me an arm and a leg to restore a $15k truck............why not just buy the already-restored truck for just an arm............

It could easily cost $15 grand to "fix" the milk wagon to the same grade as the grey one via parte and paint alone.

I wouldn't, as I like old trucks to look a little rough, but that's another story.

Right, as Soup said, there's a difference between one and the other.  If somebody wants a fully-restored one like I posted, they're gonna pay a negotiable $30k.  If someone wants one like you posted, they're gonna pay a negotiable $15k.
