Well, if you had anything resembling grey matter in that dome of yours you'd buy this instead: Quattro Coupe

I have plenty of grey matter... it's the green  matter that I'm experiencing a particular shortage of.

Too late! I bought the V8. Sorry, Mr. Car.

No. You THOUGHT you did but bought a 1988 Cressida instead.

Only YOU, Trep, would confuse a Cressida with an Audi V8

Nooooooooooo!

If the Pirate is right and they're looking for a cool G-note for the car, then go for it!  Even if your repairs run a few grand, you'll have a rare top of the line luxury car who's current version runs for $100k new.  Even buying a crappy new car will cost you $300 per month in payments.  Budget a couple grand a year for maintenance, and you'll have a stylin' ride for the cost of a...dare I say it....new Esteem.

My thoughts, exactly. The car is worth it, even if it requires $2000 a year in maintenance and repairs.

I'm in lust! My first Audi was a 1986 Coupe GT that looked just like that - but no fender bulges or quattro.  I loved that car.  This ur quattro is incredible!

I don't think it's an Ur, is it?  It looks more like a USDM Quattro with a lot of Euro conversion going on, though it' also chipped so it might make about as much power as an Ur...

To check if the clicking is indeed CV joints, it should get worse when you are turning and on the gas than any time else. It's a common problem on many different kinds of cars, and nothing else really clicks when it starts to fail.

That's the spitting image of one.  I'm guessing it's real, especially with the love and care shown in keeping it up.  Besides, the interior is definitely the stock Audi GT of the day - that's a hugely upgraded interior compared to my old ride.

Clicking is worse when turning. Under acceleration, it turns into more of a groaning than a clicking.

And see how long it takes to get to 100kph. Acceleration starts around 8-seconds, and reaches 100 around 17. What do you know? That's about 9-seconds!

Are you starting when the speedometer starts moving? It doesn't budge until 15mph.

That sounds exactly like what my car did when the CV axles were on their last legs.
