I never bothered to remove the front license plate, but I liked the deeply molded character line along the side!

I don't have an image of a fat guy in a Batman costume burned in my head or anything, but a better example of "menacing but inappropriate" would be the Cobalt SS

Holy shit, I totally forgot that you owned a TL for a while.  Whatever happened to that car?  You seemed so happy with it.

No, the TL wasn't bad looking, and I even got used to the "character line" along the side.  It isn't exactly stately or elegant, but it's not bad or anything like that.  I do commend someone for buying something other than another 3 series, but the TSX would be my choice between the two.

Well, like I've said many times, most cars are too powerful nowadays.  But, with large FWD cars, it becomes far more noticeable because the front wheels just can't handle it.

I guess the tires that were on my TL were just far superior to the original rubber, because the torque steer on that car was honestly not that bad at all. Yeah, it's noticeable, but a Mazdaspeed 3 would probably make it look like a BMW.

Well, it was a small car.  Not all cars need to be the size of a Cherokee.

E46
Length: 176.0"
Width: 68.5"
Wheelbase: 107.3"

Cherokee
Length: 165.3"
Width: 70.5"
Wheelbase: 101.4"

I've read that with the automatic, they don't torque steer too badly at all.  Even the six speed was tame compared to the Tiburon.

The Cherokee is barely heavier than your Passat.

Even Grand Cherokees aren't that big. I believe my car is about 10" longer than my mom's 2001 GC.

Mine's about 3000 lbs, which is at least a couple hundred lighter than a Passat.

Rally technology?  Three diffs?  Use them!

I have two open diffs and while I'd love to get an old WRX rear end, I'd still happily take my car to get a little dirty.  You're buying a porcelain plate when you should probably be buying something a bit more durable.

I'm sure the Audi is plenty durable - even more so than any Subaru, I bet. The thing feels like it's forged from a single, solid chunk of steel.
