I just looked at my receipt for the exact breakdown on what I paid.

Tires = $368 ($92 each)
Environmental Fee $4 ($1 each)
Disposal $10 ($2.50 each)
Mounting and Balancing $56 ($12.50 + $1.50 each for stems)
Taxes $35.15

Total = $473.15

The tires I have are $91 on TR.  IIRC, they were in the high 80s a couple of years ago when I bought them.  I paid just under $100 each (before taxes) for the tires, mounting and balancing at a local tire shop.  Granted, they didn't balance them the first time and I had to take it back to have them rebalanced a week later.  And when I checked the lug torques (both after the install and after they "rebalanced" them) a few lugs were barely finger tight and others were over-torqued.  And they were inflated beyond the max pressure rating of the tire (and a good 15-20 psi above what they should have been inflated to per the little sticker in the car).  So I guess you get what you pay for to some degree....

When I looked at the list of installers from Tire Rack, most of them charged a good $10 more per tire for low pros.  Maybe it's an American thing.

The installers around here charge extra for lightweight rims, and to dispose of the old tires!

They're on.  Happy with them so far, and they're not even broken in yet!
