It has a better interior than a C6.

Not bad looking! I hope the rest of the car is upgraded to match the fresh cosmetics.

Hey now. A car like the Honda Fit is perfect for a young urbanite couple in a major city. These cars won't do CamCord numbers but I think they will sell.

My grandpops bought a Fit.

That isn't real.

Not yet.

Though this Aveo isn't awful.

That's a rendering that likely will not come true.

Now that's a good looking small car.

Looks like a rendering that used the Mazda 2 as a template...lol

The New Corsa will probably look like that, since the Astra copied off the Mazda 3

Looks handsome.

I say; I've been over that bridge before. I don't recall a snarly Aveo nearby, mind.

nickdrinkwater

It would look better with smaller wheels and if they toned down the size of the headlamps and grille.

Raza

Actually, the more I see this, the more I like it.  It makes those giant headlamp subcompacts look a little silly.

Like a fine Detroit wine, this vehicle has aged to budgetary perfection...

SVT666

I'm actually starting to really like it.  Still not as much as the Fiesta though.

First the GTO, then the G8, Camaro, Caprice, and now Aveo RS. Why hasn't Melbourne water been shipped to Detroit?

Yup, I'm sold on it.

Me too. Good looks, great interior, decent power... I'll check this out when it's available.

Submariner

God, that front end is stupid.

The interior looks good, though, and like Nick said, power is not bad, either.

The grille is a little offputting, but it's certainly a way better front end than this:

When is it in showrooms?

It's still only a concept...probably late next year as a 2012 model.

Jon?

Ah.  That's too bad.  The current model is not compelling.  Other makers have much nicer offerings.

I'm really interested in taking it and a Fiesta out in back to back test drives.

Raza

I probably won't buy one (by the time I'm ready for a new daily, I'll be on to bigger and better things), but I really hope it succeeds.  It looks a lot better than a lot of superminis that have headlights stretching across the car to meet the taillights.

I agree Raza.  I hope it and the Fiesta really succeed though I won't be buying either of them.  My next car is something with a V8.

I'm pretty sure I could be happy with a Fiesta hatchback...if they make an AWD RS version of it.

I could easily settle with getting 44 mpg (as recorded by Motor Trend) for a daily driver, but have you seen the weather here lately? If I'm going to be living up north for a while, I'm going to want to have my AWD back pretty soon.
