MrH's Great Car Shuffle of 2010

MrH

No, it was aimed at Raza primarily.

Bastard dealership hasn't been returning my calls.  Sure enough, it disappeared online.  If he sold it out from under me, fine, but the guy shouldn't avoid me.  What a jackass.

The prht is much better for winter driving.  Don't have to worry about drains clogging as you do with the soft top.  More security too (don't have to worry about people slitting your roof to get into your car).

I think you guys need to ditch the grocery getters (or actually get a car in the first place), before criticizing me for wanting 70 lbs of civility in a sports car I plan on driving daily.  :hammerhead:

Psh, I drove my Boxster in the winter with the top down all the time when I had it.

I'm assuming this is aimed at me, and I never said anything about the extra 70 or whatever extra little amount that doesn't really matter in a car.

All I said is that the proportions look weird. I'm not even criticizing you. Get it if you want. :hammerhead:

BTW:

The rear deck looks too long to me on the PRHT version.

I agree that the soft top looks better, but I like the extra civility that Mike is talking about. I'd probably end up with the soft top anyway, just for the price.

I can't find the car I want.  That's the issue.  2008 and up, Grand Touring, 6-speed Miata, with the premium and sports package, under 30,000 miles, and not red or white.  About $18,000 is what I want to spend.

It's nearly impossible.

Yep, I'm sure you drove it through an entire Ohio winter.  You know exactly what I'm talking about!

I don't know if any of these have the premium/sports package, but here's what I got searching around (you could fly out here, pick it up and make a roadtrip back!):

I know the asking prices are higher than $18,000, but there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to talk them well below $18k.

That color combination is sexy.

I like it a lot.  Not a fan of that appearance package though.  That extra front lip looks silly.  Rather not have it and just lower it.

The one in cincinnati is CPO and only 4,600 miles.  Asking a $22,000 though.  If I can get it for $19,500 or under, I'll try and jump on this one.

Buy it!  Looks great.  Have you thought about putting the MazdaSpeed front clip on one when you get one?  If I could have afforded an NC1, I'd have been all over that.

Unfortuntely there aren't any good looking front clips made for the NB1.

And to be honest, even though the NC2 looks better than the NC1, I really enjoyed driving the NC1 more than the NC2.
