Although you can't tell from this photo due to the light reflecting off the sign in left of this picture, that sign does indeed say "No Parking".  However, plenty of idiots (like the owner of this Nissan Altima) don't seem to care.  This is outside a busy supermarket and the people who park here make backing out of the proper spaces (just out of frame, to the right of this shot) very difficult.




Taken from a different angle.  Nissan Altima driver (fat 30-ish male, looks thick as a plank) has waddled back out to his car and can be seen shutting his door whilst I grab a snap of another offending car (Lexus IS300) parked behind.




As I'm leaving the supermarket I notice a Ford Escape has backed into the spot vacated by the Nissan and then a woman in a red Cadillac SRX drives past another "No Parking" sign and parks in front of the Lexus.  Can't any of these people read?

That seems pretty likely.  The car behind the Jag appears to be pretty clapped out, and the Passat has a giant dent in it.  Not people who are concerned with another ding or two.  This is why I won't park near a car with damage.
