Wonder if Dodge will ever get a logo again.

Who shot those photos?

Webb Bland  :ohyeah:

I'm friends with him on Facebook. This is what he said about the photoshoot:

Photographed the pre-production car for the official Dodge press release.

Had the car shipped down to me from Detroit on August 24 with a two-man team, photographed the car for the better parts of the 25-27th, edited from the 28-1st, and the unveil is today, the 2nd of September. That's a hell of a turnaround.

The new Durango looks great by the way. The outgoing model looked like a monkey, this looks classy and premium. Is it being marketed as a premium car?

I wonder if it sucks down fuel the way the previous models did?

I had a roommate with the first gen and it was horrible.

Wasn't the first generation Durango known as "America's most fuel-inefficient car"?

Nah, I think Hummer owned that crown.

I thought the 1st. gen. Durango made the Hummer look economical?

I don't know about that because the H1 got 12mpg on the highway if you drove like a granny, and this is with a diesel engine too.

MaxPower

looks good!  A vast improvement.  Chrysler products are starting to come around, what with this and the new Grand Cherokee.

What's this new one based on?

I believe the LX platform.

Ah.  So it's in cute-ute territory, now?

Mustangfan2003

Well, atleast it's RWD based.

It's a lengthened Grand Cherokee.

SVT666

I like the looks of it.  It's very BMWish out back.

Looks fantastic.  Webb Bland used to be on my other forum.  Good for him.

You'd have to work at it by weighting it down with lead - the first generation 5.9L/360 Durango fared worse than the Chevy Suburban in EPA tests, IIRC. It was also substantially smaller than the Suburban.

Colonel Cadillac

It looks fantastic and looks like its on track to be a better vehicle than the Saturn/GMC/Chevy/Buick SUVs.

TBR

Looks nice.

The 1st generation vehicle was actually a pretty good vehicle. Very smartly packaged, much more so than its competitors when it came out.  Ours did average about 15 mostly highway though (5.2l V8 4x4).

Atomic

amazingly upscale for a dodge!

omicron

An outstanding job! I love it. No hideous caricatures of old Dodge styling cues, but a cohesive, identifiably-Dodge effort. Better-looking than almost any other SUV I care to mention, too.

RomanChariot

The amazing thing is that they didn't choose to show it in base trim with gray paint, silver hubcaps and a gray studio background.  I remember Jeep doing that with the Compass when it came out and it made it look like it was injection molded plastic.

This Durango looks really nice and they did a great job shooting it in locations that make it stand out and look upscale.

Catman

I like it too.  Not as much as the Explorer but it is nice.

the Teuton

Okay, I like this more than the Explorer. It's a shame it's a Chrysler product.
2. 1995 Saturn SL2 5-speed, 126,500 miles. 5,000 miles in two and a half months. That works out to 24,000 miles per year if I can keep up the pace.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

She'll hate diesel passenger cars, all things Ford, and fiat currency.  They will masturbate to old interviews of Ayn Rand an youtube together.
