MINI - even though I have a Miata and a Mustang I still find myself missing a MINI a lot of the time.  I'd like to have a 2005/2006 justacooper

Why wouldn't you want an S?

I don't like high power FWD cars, and it's more about handling and gas mileage than speed in a MINI (for me)
Most of my miles are spent cruising along country 2 lanes or highways, and I'd rather the mpg of the Cooper than the power of the S

I didn't care for the superchrger whine, either.  And have you heard a justacooper with a borla exhaust?  omg

I really enjoyed MINIs interior, how all the buttons are interesting to look at and use.  I'm not a big fan of generic black buttons/switches

I guess. On the other hand, you could go for an R56 S. That's a turbo Cooper, and they sound awesome.

In fact, I have been thinking of bidding on this one on ebay;

It is only at $12k something, and well below reserve, but figure if I bid seriously when auction ends I might make a serious offer since it is EXACTLY the color I was talking about.

Very nice! Is it a numbers matching version?

I'll likely keep the WRX for a very long time. Maybe add something else with opposed cylinders and fewer doors at some point...

A Toyoder?

Subaru FT-86? Volkswagen Old Beetle? Transporter with a WRX engine?

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

She'll hate diesel passenger cars, all things Ford, and fiat currency.  They will masturbate to old interviews of Ayn Rand an youtube together.
You can take the troll out of the Subaru, but you can't take the Subaru out of the troll!

Secret Chimp

I've messed with my car so much I don't even know wtf the resale value is.

That's a great local brewery that we have. Do I drink their beer? No.

My car is likely worth at least $800. With the fart can on it, I bet I could get $1,000. It only has 116k on it.

If I cleaned up the body, likely around what I paid for it. ($1000-1100)

It only has 101K, and everything works right.

TBR

I could probably get $2000-2500 for mine.

FlatBlackCaddy

Last nice day of the year, just spent all day(full tank of gas) hitting the back roads in the evo.

These things are nuts, easily one of the best handling cars in the world.

I don't know what car I want next. If I stay in NYC, pretty sure it's gonna be an 00-01 Maxima. If I had to buy a car that I would drive every day, the picks this week are 03-07 Accord V6 6MT coupes and early G35 6spd sedans. 4 real passengers (me, my gf, and the couple we generally hang out with are all at least 5' 10", and not necessarily skinny), 14 second quarter mile, stickshift, 2WD, preferably under 3500 lb, relatively reliable + cheap/easy to maintain, with an IRS. For what I can get that Maxima for, nothing else fits the bill to my knowledge.

I rescind my previous vote. The BMWs I want are either too old, or too much of a reliability crapshoot. If forced to stick with one brand... I would probably go with Honda. They're in a lull right now but they had a strong run from 1990-2008 (Civic, Prelude, Legend, TSX, Accord 6-6, S2000, NSX), and I'd have absolutely no reservations about DDing any of my favorite cars from that block of time, given an ample budget + space to do maintenance.

Rupert

I could get more than $4k for the Explorer, about the same for the Porsche, and who knows what for the MG.
