Well as the title says its time to flush the infamous six-banger stang (well actually past time (I don't thinks the coolant systems even been touched since '02 when purchased))...Can anybody recommend a flush kit, and give me any additional knowledge, tips or tricks to make this process as painless as possible :)

Your help is greatly appreciated as always :)  :)

consult the manual.

You only need to flush it if there's brown or yellow stuff in there.

I'll check it in the morning...I have noticed that it is just a little low, and i was just planning on replacing the coolant now instead of later...now remeber this thing gets pounded everynow and then ;)

I'd have a shop do it since they recycle the old stuff.

Last time we did it my dad dumped it out in the field next to our house.

You can do it easily do it yourself (a smart monkey could do it), but you ought to pour it into a jug and bring it somewhere to be recycled.

That's what I figured you were asking, but why in the world would you need a kit?! They have a tool to test your coolant to water ratio, but that's all I know of.

Just open up the drainplug on the radiator, drain it into an oil pan, and refill through the radiator cap. You can even buy 50-50 coolant premixed now.

Ask a stupid question...get a stupid answer.  ;)

Why would you want to do that? You would need to turn the water pump to pump it out. Believe me, draining it gets enough of it out.

Do you get all the oil out when you change you oil? I sure hope not!

He will still be missing a portion of the dirty coolant that doesn't happen to be in the radiator.  It's up to him, but I would rather get it all out.
