Yeah, usually I wouldn't put this in luxury talk, but it IS classy pearlescent white.

The Northstar sounds really good.  Trust me, I'm a doctor.

Amazing how much better it looks after Pontiac smoothed out all that stupid ribbed cladding.

Apparently they weren't ribbed for  Speed_Racer's pleasure.

Too bad they didn't fix the interior.  The interior styling looked better suited to the Grand Am than the Bonnie.  Is it really necessary to have no fewer than 8 HVAC vents in the dash?

Add two more in the back too.  AC pointing in 10 different directions ftw.

Well, the testicle vents might be nice on a hot day...
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

I miss sweaty ball vents.  Next best thing to cooled seats, and unfortunately they're gone.

I love the Bonnieville's design (outside).

And the stereo has so much power, that it like creates a wind storm and shit inside the car.

Not the exact car.  Dad bought one just like it.  He'll bring it home later this week.

My dad does have a small antenna flag on his Corvette though...  It's ripped to shreds from the POWAAAAA

I assume it's photographed at the dealer.

V8?

Congrats!

If the "Northstar" from Caddy, I believe yes. As I recall, all Northstar's were 8's. I still get hell for boasting about Chryler's (I don't mind) but their Hemi's are partly the reason. The Northstar was another very successful and well know engine throughout the industry and amongst buyers. I could not tell you what is in the 2013 Cadillac XTS, just that it has a V6 and no 8 option.

And, yes! Congrats on the Pontiac... Sharp! Love that color and how befitting for the luxury section  :ohyeah:

The Pontiac's were FWD, like the DeVille's and the DTS Caddy's that followed. I almost think there was an AWD version of the Bonniville, but not too certain about that... The first Olds Aurora was gorgeous, BTW. That had the Northstar V8 and I am thinking AWD as either standard or optional. Anyone recall without Googling? Man, how forgetful I am this morning... More coffee needed

What did he have before?

When gas started getting pricey in '04-ish? He bought a $600 Skylark to drive instead of his Silverado.  He sold the Skylark early this year and had been driving his Sierra.

I agree. My niece has a silver one. Her dad bought this pampered car with under 50,000 miles from his boss and it is gorgeous. He wanted something substantial, especially for her very first car. It rides like a big Buick, though. I didn't expect it to be so cushy... Not bad for a Buick, Olds or large Mercury in their day, but I assumed the car would have a tighter suspension and ride and drive differently than a Toyota Camry on steroids  ...still an awesome, powerful and seemingly safe gem of a car...

Really pretty cars. How did Pontiac die, while Buick survived?

Probably because less people want sport and more folks want comfort. Buick wins.
