I grew up in a white Monte Carlo SS. It was comfy and looked/sounded cool.

I'm gonna go with the Maserati TC just because I think you can fool clueless people into thinking you drive something really exotic when you say that name...

No, clueless people will say "nice LeBaron."

Bluh. If it were given to me, I'd accept the Monte Carlo.

Gotta go with the T-Bird. It was a good car. It had a few issues. ;)

I would add the Acura Legend. I loved my dad's gold 5MT Coupe

I'd take the Monte C (make mine and Aero Coupe with T Tops in black) just because the Regal is not a Turbo.

I'm too lazy to look but wasn't it priced way higher (except the TC) than the coupes listed?

Probably was about the same price as the TC, but not sure to be honest.

TC, because it's funny. IIRC it also has a few gen-you-wine luxury bits.

Monte Carlo and the T-Bird are a little tempting, too.

Because you are not a jalopy

Same goes for the Ferrari, Aston, Jag, etc.

Colin

As I read down this thread, having shuddered at the choice, I was thinking Volvo 780 Coupe......... and lo, Mr Madman clearly had the same thought.

Of course, the reality is that the one I would have really wanted was the urQuattro, and were that not in budget for this exercise, then the Audi Coupe quattro would have been a cheaper substitute.  I think the other ones added by Madman are really a different category and budget (nice though many of them are).

sportyaccordy

The Japanese had some cars kind of in this class too. Base Supra, 300ZX, XT6, Starion, Acura Legend. A little more expensive but what American car besides the TC "by Maserati" or the Allante WASN'T?????

Raza

I was going to say that Aston is as good looking now as when it first came out, but that's just not true.  It gets better looking everyday.
